Not the weekend we planned...

Logan no longer has his appendix. After a weekend of 1 doctor's office and 2 hospitals, he had surgery Saturday. He came home Sunday evening and feeling better, although still in a lot of pain.

This sleeping picture is WITH his appendix...and the rest are after surgery. He begged for food the whole time leading up to surgery then discovered no matter how hungry you are, hospital chicken nuggets aren't great!

TWELVE????

With Logan's 12th birthday approaching, I inevitably had to dig out the photo albums and photo CD's this week. There are many overused phrases that come to mind:

"It seems like just yesterday"
"Where did the time go?"
"He'll always be my baby"
"They grow up before you know it"

I've heard each a million times, knowing they were true but never really feeling it. Today, I know it's true.
They really do grow up fast...

Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom

We recently went to Six Flags-Kentucky Kingdom where we spent the day at the water park. Logan couldn't wait to race Go-Karts so he hopped into #23 for a few laps. He started in last place with a full lineup of carts and finished 5th after bumping and rubbing to near the front of the pack! Just a little practice for that Nascar Career, Logan!! I've volunteered to be his spotter and Jason, his crew chief. We are looking for some good tire carriers and a gas man. I guess that looks really good on a resume, huh?

Jason's 33rd Birthday!

On July 7th he turned 33...wonder what that wish was!!??



We had a small barbeque with his parents, Fred & Marjorie, along with our friend Shaun. What's that in your hand, Jason???

July 3rd Legends Game with Fred

July 3rd...We took Jason & I took Fred to the Lexington Legends Baseball game. The Legends lost 10-9 but it was a great game and a lot of fun!

SHE'S NOT ONLY CUTE. SHE'S BRAVE!! WE WERE AT LOGAN'S SOCCER GAME AND DESTINY WANTED TO WALK BARKLEY...WELL, HE MOSTLY WALKED HER BUT IT WAS A PICTURE PERFECT MOMENT!!!

Cruisin'

Here are some pictures from our Cruise on the Disney Wonder. We went to Nassau and Castaway Cay (Disney's Island), both in the Bahamas. What a wonderful trip!!!

~As you can see Jason enjoyed himself like...well, a kid at Disney! (haha)

Logan was impressed by all the food and the pools, and, of course...the food! He even took a picture with our head server and his assistant, Roque & Rolly (aka "ROQ & ROLL") .

I really loved Castaway Cay. I tried to find a way to hide until the ship left but their system is foolproof! Oh well...we're back in the real world now, looking forward to our next vacation.
